Congratulations! You are the sharpest and perhaps smartest person in the room. Not because of a supernatural dispensation of wisdom, but because you have studied to show yourself approved. You are smart, but you don’t store up knowledge to boast or pontificate. You store it up to share insights out of a motive to help others. You could teach to a crowd at a moment’s notice (if you let yourself) and are always full of things to say. Not all teacher personalities are professional teachers, because remember, this is a personality trait and it can find its way into any industry (river). The challenge for you is to avoid dominating all conversations, to remain teachable, and to make sure always that the knowledge in your head makes the twelve-inch journey down into your heart. Remember that the price for having the teacher personality and constantly being about the business of speaking into the lives of others is that you will be judged more strictly (see James 3:1). Bring the apostle personality into your inner circle so that you can observe the way they lead more by example and influence and less by pushy persuasion. You are the teacher personality.
